The FBI says Russian emails are sending fake bomb threats to polling stations

On Election Day, November 5, 2024, polling places across key battleground states, including Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona, received a wave of hoax bomb threats believed to be linked to Russian email domains.

Although the FBI confirmed that none of the threats were credible, they prompted temporary evacuations and extended voting hours in areas like Fulton County, Georgia, where over two dozen threats were reported.

Despite the disruptions, officials emphasized the election's integrity, asserting that foreign interference tactics aimed to incite fear among voters.
